Assessment in early childhood education is a comprehensive framework that helps in evaluating a student’s present level of knowledge and skills.
Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) refers to a system of school – based evaluation of students that covers all features of students development. It is a developmental process of assessment that stresses two- fold objectives i.e. continuousness in evaluation and assessment of broad- based learning and behavioral outcomes on the other . Few criteria are supplied for performance task:
- Concentration span
- Expression of ideas
- Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing skills
- Pronunciation
- Comprehensive level
- Self reliance
- Emotional and Mental stability
- Personal hygiene
- Cognitive and Social development
Evaluation helps in forming the values of judgment in which “Formative Evaluation”, commonly known as “Assessment” will be done on monthly basis which monitors child’s progress throughout the learning process.
For Primary Section & Middle Section
Classes I - III
For classes I - III - Assessment of students is conducted throughout the year by means of observation interaction and specially designed worksheets,PTs and Summative Assessments(Term 1& 2) .The assessment includes performance at emotional ,social and academic levels . The weekly assessments are scheduled and the students are observed on a 5 point scale.

Classes IV – VIII
- The session will be bifurcated into Term- 1 and Term- 2
- Each term exam will be of 80 marks plus an internal assessment of 20 marks
- Internal Assessment will consist of periodic tests, subject enrichment activities, and assignments
- The periodic tests will be of 25marks each. The score of the periodic tests will contribute 10 marks towards the internal assessment score and the rest 10 marks in the internal assessment will be based on subject enrichment activity and assignments.
- Final (cumulative) result will be the average marks of TERM-1 and TERM-2.
- Student need to score a minimum of 40% marks in all subjects
- Periodic tests will be conducted twice in TERM I and once in TERM 2.
- Students will be graded on 8-point grading scale.
- The content to be covered in all the tests will be communicated to the students well in advance

Classes IX - X
Internal Assessment: 20 Marks

Note: The school conducts three periodic tests for class IX (30 marks) and two for class X (30 marks) Beside these, Term end exams are also held at the end of each term i.e. Half Yearly and Annual exam while for class 10th Half yearly, Preboard 1 and Preboard 2 exams will be held

Besides the Scholastic area, students are also assessed for Co-Scholastic Areas and discipline on a 3-point grading scale as prescribed by the CBSE.
